Enjoy “Friday Nights at the de
Young” on November 22, 2013 from 5:00 in the afternoon to 8:45 in the evening
at the de Young Museum located at 50 Hagiwara Tea Garden Drive, San Francisco,
California.
Friday Nights is a weekly,
themed social happening that features a mix of live music, dance performances,
film screenings, lectures, artist demonstrations, panel discussions, hands-on
art activities, and a lot more. Those who will be attending will also get the
chance to access the Observation Tower until 8:15PM.
The activities on November 22
will center on the themes “The Art of Bulgari: La Dolce Vita and Beyond,
1950-1990” and “David Hockney: A Bigger Exhibition.” The evening’s festivities
are presented in partnership with the San Francisco Bay Guardian.
Join Artist-in-Residence Ana
Teresa Fernandez in exploring issues of identity, sensuality, and victimization
in a presentation entitled “Surface” at the Kimball Education Gallery.
Lawrence Weschler, Charles
Farco, and Loren Bon will be conducting a Panel Discussion entitled “Back
through the Looking Glass” at the Koret Auditorium.
