Watch out for the GLIDE Annual Holiday
Festival on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at the San Francisco War Memorial Opera
House located at 301 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco, CA.
Arrivals are encouraged at 6:00 PM as
the concert is set to start at 7:00 PM.
This year, GLIDE is celebrating the 50th
founding anniversary of Rev. Cecil Williams and Janice Mirikitani.
This event will be featuring Dr. Maya
Angelou, Valerie Simpson, Judith Hill, San Jose Taiko, the GLIDE Ensemble and
the Change Band, as well as other special guests.
Invited to serve as this celebration’s
Mistress of Ceremonies is World Champion San Francisco Giants’ announcer and
radio personality, Renel Brooks Moon.
The proceeds from this event will go
to the benefit of Mo’s Kitchen and GLIDE’s existing programs.
