The
Museum of Craft Design (MCD) is inviting everyone to be a part of the Community
Celebration dedicated to the new museum on Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 11:00
in the morning to 4:00 in the afternoon. The festivity will feature exciting
galleries, inaugural exhibitions, and the opening of the new museum store.
The
museum will also be launching its MakeArt Lab where families can enjoy various
activities including a chance to create and test their own pinewood derby car
inspired by artist Michael Cooper’s wooden vehicles. The MakeArt lab is MCD’s
first dedicated education room.
Additionally,
guests will be able to enjoy delicious fair from various food trucks that will
round up at 23rd Street at 12:00 noon. Vouchers are available at MCD.
