GreenPoint
rated is inviting everyone to join the New Home course happening on Monday,
April 15, 2013 from 8:00 in the morning to 5:00 in the afternoon at the
StopWaste located at 1537 Webster Street, Oakland CA, 94612.
This
is a single-day course that will help builders and developer give new home
buyers the assurance of a truly green home. The course will cover topics
including:
- Verification protocols for New Home measures, including:
-Energy efficiency and building envelope
-Water conserving systems
-Ventilation practices
-High efficiency systems and equipment
-Indoor air quality
-Waste and site measures addressing resource
conservation
- Design considerations and commissioning for multifamily projects
- How to calculate climate change benefits
- How to leverage the resources of Build It Green and GreenPoint Rated
Speaking at the event is the founder and
manager of Practica Consulting March Richmond who has extensive experience in
developing and implementing green building programs both for government
agencies, non-profits, and within private firms.
The course fee is $200 for members and
$250 for non-members.
