The
San Francisco Folk Music Club is inviting everyone to be a part of the 37th
Annual San Francisco Free Folk Festival happening on June 8 to 9, 2013 at the
Presidio Middle School.
The
event features music and dance workshops, concerts, dance parties, crafts,
vendors, formal and informal music-making as well as other exciting activities
that all families will enjoy. The festival activities are free and open to all
of those who wish to participate or just listen.
Some
of the family activities at the Festival include a Family Concert by Tina
Louise Barr and John Gwinner, the Children’s Music Network Songswap hosted by
Nanci Schneidinger, Treasures from Ruth Crawford Seefer’s Collection presented
by ED’n’Dale, American History in Song/Song in American History: Expanding
Freedom by Nancy Schimmel and Bonnie Lockhart, In Our Hands Singalong by Laurie
Story and Jeremiah, Junk Band by Miss Juli, Kids' Open Mic hosted by Roger
Sinasohn, and Songwriting for Kids by Hali Hammer.
