MEDA Conducts First Time Homebuyers Workshop



There will be a First Time Homebuyers Workshop on December 14, 2013 from 9:00 in the morning to 3:00 in the afternoon at Suite 301 of the Mission Economic Development Agency (MEDA) office located at 2301 Mission Street, San Francisco, California.

Approved by the San Francisco Mayor’s Office of Housing, the workshop will be imparting valuable information on:
 (1) The different options that first time buyers have in purchasing a new home,
(2) How to come up with a realistic estimate of the price range of the home that a person can afford according to the household earning capacity,
(3) What type of property to buy based on the needs of the family and other important factors, and
(4)The various financing opportunities available and what the requirements are to qualify for each.

A certificate in homebuyer education will be awarded to the participants who have successfully finished the workshop.

This event is organized by the Mission Economic Development Agency whose objectives are anchored toward achieving economic justice for San Francisco’s Latino community, particularly the low- and moderate-income families, through the development of personal, financial, and community assets.
