The Nuts And Bolts of Buying a Home Workshop

Everyone is invited to learn about the home buying process at The Nuts And Bolts of Buying A Home Workshop happening on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the San Francisco LGBT Community Center located at 1800 Market St, San Francisco California 94102.

In this seminar, participants will be taught how to manage the home-buying process as a series of smaller steps, understand who is involved at its various points, calculate how much one can afford and review the mortgage loan application process. They will also be introduced to the various homeownership types in San Francisco like Below Market Rate (BMR) units. In addition, the Federal and City level first time homebuyer assistance programs including the Downpayment Assistance Loan Program (DALP) and The American Dream Downpayment Initiative (ADDI) will be reviewed.

At the end of the workshop, participants will be presented with a certificate in homebuyer education.

This event is approved by the San Francisco Mayor's Office of Housing.
