Conservancy is inviting everyone to be a part of the “World's Fair Gardens: Shaping American Landscapes” program
happening on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at the Walt Disney Family Museum in San
Francisco, California from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Garden
Historian Cathy Jean Maloney will be presenting a lively discussion about how
the groundbreaking gardens and landscapes as well as the innovative
horticulture presented in world’s fairs have affected the way people tend to
their gardens and enjoy public spaces today.
This
event is co-sponsored by the Institute for Classical Architecture & Art –
Northern California Chapter and the Daniel E. Koshland San Francisco History
Center of the San Francisco Public Library.
Admission
to the event costs $35 for members of the Garden Conservancy, the San Francisco
History Center, and the ICAA and $40 for general admission. Interested parties
